Silver Linings

Well, I've been sick as a dog the last few days--what I thought was going to be just an annoying cold turned out to be something with fever, chills, headache, terrible congestion. I haven't spent two days in bed in six years, since the last time I was in hospital having a baby. But today I'm upright, at least.

And it turned out to have a silver lining. One can't sleep for two days (at least I can't) even when sick, so I teetered down to my office at one point and hauled the printout of my novel back to bed with me. And got some editing done. I'm 150 pages further ahead than I was before I got sick.
